Our roots date back to 1957 when we first began producing collections by hand out of our Miami factory. Originally known as Sunburst International, a division of MetalTech, Inc., the company was founded on a commitment to manufacturing high-quality aluminum outdoor furniture. The All Seasons Table-Bench set and Aluminum Umbrella series put the family-owned business on the map as a destination for commercial outdoor furniture. These products were practical, highly durable, and easy to install—bringing a splash of color and style to resorts, amusement parks, restaurants, and malls across the country.
The DuraWeld Collection emerged as a staple of the 1960s and 70s, boasting a sensible and inviting design, perfect for any outdoor space. Prominently outfitting the pools and restaurants of Miami’s iconic Fontainbleau and Delano resorts at its launch, DuraWeld became an instant American classic. The innovative design was constructed from Sunburst’s proprietary “ElastoVinyl” straps that maintained their original shape to resist sagging and featured ultraviolet stabilizers to preserve color fastness and prevent cracking.
Over the next 30 years, Sunburst continued to serve the outdoor commercial market by expanding its product portfolio with new contemporary designs backed by outstanding customer service. In 1996, Sunburst became Pavilion Furniture, staying true to its tradition of crafting long-lasting, attractive outdoor furnishings designed in Miami.
Today, Pavilion is a forward-looking brand that proudly makes furniture using high-performance, contract-grade materials and processes. We deliver a relaxed, modern aesthetic that will bring any design vision to life. Our persistent curiosity, passion for outdoor living, and drive for innovation, has yielded a portfolio of award-winning products such as the Palmera Collection, Lirio Table, and the Sandcastle Collection, as well as being recognized as a leader in the outdoor hospitality sector.
We are devoted to enhancing our offering to best solve the industry’s needs. In 2018, Pavilion joined forces with Tuuci to provide a superior outdoor package with a robust scope of complementary furniture and parasol products, innovative materials, and streamlined operations.
